Veterans Strong Community Center is honored to partner with the Wernicki Family on what we hope will become a long-standing tradition in Bristol!

"The Battle of Lexington and Concord, April 19, 1775.

It was “The Shot Heard Round the World”, written by poet Ralph Waldo Emerson; the first battle that started the American Revolutionary War, paving our path to freedom.

There is no time like the present to embrace our American Heritage and honor those that came before us. Patriots' Day [became] an official holiday in Connecticut as of July 10, 2017. We joined Maine, Massachusetts, and Wisconsin already celebrating with pride."

Please consider nominating a local Veteran, Serviceman or Servicewoman either living or deceased. Share with us how this person has been heroic in serving our country and their community.
